The pop icons of the 70’s will hold a meeting after more than 30 years.
According to the international press, the four members will not meet face to face but in the virtual environment.
The virtual project will reunite members Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog. In addition, the four members will perform for old time’s sake, when the Swedish band delighted millions of fans with their hit songs.
The digital entertainment experience will become possible with a technology based on virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
Apparently, the method they have chosen will help the four members to communicate better with the young generation, who will have the opportunity to hear their famous songs.
The ABBA band members went separate ways in 1983. At that time, the Swedes sold no less than 400 million albums worldwide.
‘We are exploring a new technology, which will allow us to create new forms of entertainment that we have not ever imagined’, said band manager Simon Fuller.
Benny, Björn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid are preparing a great comeback, scheduled for 2017.
The last ABBA meeting was held in late January in Stockholm. Their devoted fans, who continue to listen to their music paid no less than $160 for a ticket.
The high-class event had a red carpet. Although the pop legends did not step on a stage for more than 30 years, things will take a different turn in the next year.
